Pope Francis Thanks Maltese Bishops for ‘Amoris Laetitia’ Guidelines

The Pope’s gratitude was sent to the Maltese Bishops for their interpretation of AL through a letter from Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, secretary general of the Synod of Bishops.

Here is the second approval by the Pope of an erroneous interpretation of AL which is in conflict and denies the teachings found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Canon law.  An interpretation that Cardinal Mueller specifically said was wrong.

So everyone has been holding their breath to see if the underground reform was going to get papal approval.  If the Pope approves of a Bishop’s interpretation is that not in effect teaching that same message from the Chair of Peter?  Is this why so many are trying to call AL a “magisterial” teaching to elevate it to the desired level of a doctrine, which it isn’t.  Is the Vatican playing games with process and formalities for deniability sake? Is the Pope simply waiting until it will be to hard to turn the ship?
