Pope Francis: ‘I do not feel that Cardinal Burke is my adversary’

In an interview with Die Zeit, the pontiff touched on topics ranking from the Knights of Malta to ‘fundamentalist’ Catholics.

To believe something a person generally needs to see actions and words that coincide.

Though removed from every significant office and declared ineffective Cardinal Burke’s faithfulness to Christ, the Church, and the Pope will exonerate and elevate him in the years to come.

We must remember that our Catholic identity is only believable when our words and action demonstrate we are disciples of Christ.  When they don’t we only delude ourselves, not the world.
