Does Pope Francis actually oppose Church teaching on contraception? This summary raises the question

The pope’s decision to empower a condom-promoting Knights of Malta official begs a look back at his past remarks.

This is another one of those nice articles because it clears the waters of the bloated opinions and just gives you the timeline and extensive list of statements by the Pope and the Vatican on the issue of contraception.  A comment here or there can be ignored but when it’s consistent and affirmed you have to say there is a recognizable trend.

Look for contraception to be promoted through the elevation of conscience and for ecological reasons both at the Vatican’s Biological Extinction conference at the end of the month (a bunch of theoretical science and sci-fi apocalyptic frenzy intended to justify and develop a spiritual platform for population control) and at the summer synod on the youth.
