Sudden changes in approach to doctrine, episcopal rivalries, and a swift drafting process are some of the factors that led to the contentious Maltese bishops document.
I don’t know. What do you think? Is this enough confusion and controversy or do we need more? Maybe a whole conference of bishops such as the German conference opening communion for the civilly remarried? How much schism has to happen before AL is clarified?
You know something is wrong when you’re told by your bishop, if you do not want to follow the contents of the document, you “have misunderstood” it. You don’t understand it until and unless you understand it our way.
